I have been delighted with all of the nice weather we have been having recently. It's such a nice break to spend a class outdoors for a change. Over the past few weeks I have brought several classes for lessons outside. One such lesson was with a group of 2nd class boys. We were focusing on our listening and social skills. For this lesson the boys were put into pairs and were asked to create a fairy house. They absolutely loved it and worked really well together. It was great to see how each pair created something really unique. They had great fun choosing interesting pieces of wood to use for the fairy houses. To end the lesson we went around to each house and the creators explained their design! It was a really lovely lesson and the boys enjoyed working outdoors! When we were walking back into school we noticed some lovely shadows. We took some time to stop and look at them. Hopefully we will get out soon and trace over the shadows with chalk to create some lovely designs on the path! Fingers crossed the 'heat wave' will return!!
