I am continuing with the same reward system I used last year. It is very easy to use and I know the boys really enjoy it. Each student is given a reward card which they are responsible for and must bring to class each day. If they follow our class rules then they are given a sticker at the end of the lesson. They then have a choice of two prize levels. They can decide to collect 10 stickers and then swap them for a prize from our 10 point box. These include a selection of rubbers, sharpeners, pens, pencils and stretchy creatures. The boys can instead decide to save their stickers until they have 20 and go for a bigger prize. It is great to see them making decisions about what prizes they would like to save up for. As you may notice most of the 20 prizes come from Tiger! I encourage the boys to let me know if they see things that would like me to add to the prize box. These prizes will last for most of the year, I will just top them up every now and then.I wouldn't recommend this as a whole class reward system but it does work well in SEN and doesn't cost a fortune.
